Letter from the Publisher
Each of us desires a special place that we can call our own. We seek a haven from the cares and worries of the world and a true retreat that allows us the luxury of taking time to recharge. In this issue, we focus on some of those special places, whether they are second homes or primary residences designed to be sanctuaries for the spirit.
One such neighborhood is the community on our cover, Woodhaven Bend. This spectacular neighborhood that’s bordered by the beautiful Etowah River in Ball Ground is a harmonious marriage of natural beauty, architectural integrity and superior craftsmanship. With its park-like setting and nature trails, this intimate enclave allows residents to breathe easier as soon as they drive through its rustic gates.
On the west side of town, Governors Towne Club has taken another direction, surpassing expectations with an amenity-laden neighborhood designed to make residents feel as if they are at a resort. Whether your idea of an escape is a coastal cottage, a mountain cabin, a lakeside retreat or an urban loft, we’ll look at the architecture, furnishings and construction techniques that can help bring it to life.
We’ve also made some changes in conjunction with our website to help simplify your search for an ideal property.
